
Recent Work:
In 2011, the Clay Public Library started a book club and craft classes. This is in addition to the summer reading program that has been at the library every year since it opened in 2009.
In late 2011, the library added a teen room with books popular with the teens. Taller shelves, which hold more books, were put in the fiction hall.
Board Function:
The City of Clay Library Board works under the authority of the Clay City Council in making decisions concerning Clay's public library. They make final decisions on operation policies and assist the council in deciding on expenditures. The library director and assistant answers to this board and the Clay City Council.
This group meets at the Clay Public Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Councilwoman Jackie Hambrick is the liaison between the board and the Clay City Council.
