On behalf of the City, welcome to Clay, Alabama founded June 6, 2000. We are very proud of our truly exceptional community with wonderful amenities we have to offer, that truly supports "our community at the heart" insignia such as:

• A comprehensive Land Use Plan featuring a Town Centre area in the process of being developed with sidewalks and lush landscaping.
• A disposal service available to all Clay residents of Clay for a small fee offering each household a free 90 gallon rolling can. Small yard debris and household items can also be picked up at no additional charge.
• The City of Clay is building a state of the art $4 million dollar addition Clay Recreation Center that will house baseball fields, soccer and football fields, walking trails, a play centre and much more.
• A Senior Activity Center that operates five days a week always with fun activities and road trips scheduled.
• A gorgeous newly built Clay Community Center that can house close to 300 people. The Community Center is available to rent for any party needs you desire such as weddings, birthdays, bridal teas and baby showers, etc…
• Your safety is one of our utmost concerns and that’s why we’ve contracted with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department to provide additional patrol exclusively to the City of Clay.
